Only thing about basswood is it's pretty soft and dings easily (at least in my experience - Squier CV P-Bass) |

Ah, I don't know why I thought it had ferrules. If it were me I'd probably just use the existing plate and drill the neck, it shouldn't affect stability or anything and you'd be keeping some of the o ... |

I actually had an Aria Pro II I sold to Cooterfinger years ago that I refinished metallic poo brown with a black pickguard to match this aesthetic. Had to get it out of my system. |

Was the new neck pre-drilled?
Any reason you couldn't just drill the neck to match the existing holes just use the old ferrules under the screws instead of a neckplate? |

Ugh no.
I say despite having owned more sparkle finish guitars than I can count on one hand. It just doesn’t work on this, looks cheesy especially with that pale neck |

Every time I’m tempted by a custom shop I remember it has that corny winga-dinga car show logo on the back of the headstock and neck plate and lose interest. Very nice though |
