Thanks for all the help and recommendations, but Zog's Gold Star goes to hurb who found me this fella in Edinburgh on Facebook market place.

Advertised for £600 but I got it for £500.

I sell quite a lot on eBay and have to do price research for some of the items. Ebay is 90% overpriced stuff that gets relisted ad nauseum and 10% items that are priced to sell/on auction.

Sounds like you want a Squier 51 neck. Nice and clubby. Don't know if you can still get them cheap, though.

Have they got a tele heel?

Attenuators are great. I use a Marshall 18 watt that doesn’t have a master volume and bought a Weber attenuator when I got the amp, it gives it a great tone at pretty low volumes.
