DeVille sold over the weekend, managed to find the beans for a new 65 Princeton Reverb Reissue!!!!!

Volume less than 4 sounds like clean tonez heaven, bit of reverb, tremolo thro ...

oh yeah - it smells old as hell also.

that's the thing you pay for. i borrowed a 66 refin mustang ages ago and it just had that smell. not damp, just old wood... shame it had to go back...

I can never tell much of a difference.. swapped the stock 12AX7's in my deville for 12AT7's from watford valves.. (supposedly they break up sooner owing to lower plate voltage or summat...) always dub ...

Qtr Pounder. Think there's a tapped option on it too, so you can do off/half windings/full windings should you desire..

thing i was concerned about was phantom powering mics - if it were just cables it would probably be fine, but anyhoo....

Should be able to get away with a little behringer thing and then go mic(s) ...

Yep - has its own power supply: it's meant to draw power from the PC wirewire, but my laptop only has a mini-FW socket...

All fixed though - sent back to the UK distributors who waited for the part ...
