How 'bout a P-90? The neck pickup in my Aerodyne Tele sounds great.

That would actually be my first choice, but I don't have one.

What is this hybrid amp anyway?

Most of what Vox makes today are hybrids, some Marshalls...there are others but names escape me. They are just solid state amps with a pre amp tube.
