I can vouch for the Roland Jazz Chorus series. (Not the reissue ones). It's a very clean amp, which in my opinion is what you want for using most pedals.

So I've heard. But its also twice as much as I will be paying for this.

I play bass most of the time and just need a decent guitar for laying down song ideas at home.
