anytime u put a resistor across the lugs of a pot it will change the overall value of the pot but it will not be a smooth taper across the pot, it will work but not the same as just using a 250k pot

potentiometers are variable resistors, so you're basically putting two resistors in parallel
which means to determine the resulting resistance, you'll use this forumla

I've seen blackface Bassmen on shopgoodwill on more than one occasion. Kind of sucks actually, no longer can some kid score a crazy good deal at a local goodwill. It sold for about market price. |

Cab should have higher power rating than your amp. Unless you're going for that (literally) blown speaker sound. |

If you take it to a tech, get him to change the volume and reverb pots for linear rather logarithmic pots, this will give you greater control on them, rather than them getting to full around 4.
