I've been trying to sell/trade my Agile LP and Epi Valve Junior head/cab for the past few weeks. Earlier this week I caved on selling and started accepting trades, after a few LOL moments and a rejection I got the email about this bad boy.
/insert pic here but my iPhone/Facebook is screwing the pooch. Just imagine. 7 string dark blue RG.
I've got it crudely sat up with a bastardized set of strings. No cash ATM for strings so this will do for a few weeks.
So far the B sounds really floppy and loose ( reminds me of my ex ) but I dig the lower tonez. Running it with a Way Huge Swollen Pickle for sludgy low sounds and my MBM Mk3 ToneBender that sounds f'n killer.

I think you're trying to say you want a tighter low end, right?
I'm pretty sure RG7620s have a 25.5" scale, so you're already at a structural advantage for flab-reduction. Save cash and buy a decent set of strings, but get a fat single string for the 7th if possible, as putting on a heavier 7th string is half of the game (I use Ernie Ball .70s). In my opinion, the other thing is to have pickups that can get decent articulation before you hit your signal with teh distorshunz, probably doing better with something much less than 12k. When you have more cash for at least a vintage-output bridge humbucker, as from experience, the really hot (and muddy) output of my Epi LP 7-string's stock humbuckers were what translated into a good chunk of the undesirable flab in the tone.

I used to have a 7 string and i used a .56 for the low... the shittiest part is im pretty sure the S series Ibanez 7's all had floyd rose style bridges. and those are a fucking nightmare. A guy in my band uses an 8 string Schecter that has a fixed bridge and i admit it looks fucking stupid but he makes it work. He also has an Ibanez Universe with a double locking bridge and its cool, but that bridge would/does piss me off. Damn dude. I saw that ad and I kept wanting to offer trades but didn't because most people on our craigslist are assholes. I wouldn't worry too much about the floyd though. My first guitar was an Ibanez Proline with one and I managed to work it pretty well. All you really need is to use shims in the spring cavity to keep the trem at it's balancing point and then adjust the strings and springs until the shims don't have any pressure on them. Oh, and locking nuts tend to pull the low strings sharp, so tune the low strings a little bit flat before you lock the nut and then finish the balancing act. It's really pretty simple.
I've had mostly good interactions with CL people. A few email arse holes though. Please don't tell me you had a Jag or Jazz to trade, I don't think I could handle my head exploding, lol. A nice fellow in Elizabethton offered a Washburn a-5 with a cracked neck /facepalm.
I'm not all that worried about the Floyd style setup as this is my second of the sort, but I'll give it a go when I do the string change. I do get frustrated as it seems to take awhile to stretch and settle the strings. I have noticed the lower strings going sharp when I locked them, glad to know I'm not just gorilla fisted.
It's got the Ernie Ball power slinky set on it now with a 42 from another pack inserted as the E string, the 48 got bumped to the B. After a look around on Google I realize how insufficient the low A is as its supposed to be a 58 in the 7 string power slinky set.

I was thinking more along the lines of a Marshall valvestate head for the Jr., but it's too late lol. It is what it is. I guess it's not all of the local CL, but the Asheville one gets interesting sometimes.
When I had the floyd, I would tune up the strings and then pull on them crazy hard and tune them back to pitch. Seemed to stretch them out pretty good and get them decently stable. Also, if I remember correctly, you can probably set the low B so that you can get the low A with the fine tuner, though the other strings will need to be adjusted a bit. It is a lot of work just to drop tune, but the stability is worth it in spades if you're the divebomb/squealy type.
