Selling this off, I went a different route with my guitar style, I do love my mustang but right now I could use some money for a 4x12 cab.
I put it on CL for $650 with very little response. Probably because its Craigslist! haha
Anyway here's some pics

funny how you took close up photos of everything except the broken part. (rear pickup switch)
its got a hole in the control plate which really isn't a big deal because i have a tool chest with 5 more of them in it. but the rear switch is a problem since ya know its not there.
whats the wiring look like under it? is it all routed to the front switch? wires taped off? do both pickups work? if they both work somehow without the second switch what does the switch thats there now do?
you cant put up a broken 69RI for 650 dollars when it cost 700 brand new back in 2003.
*edit: if its not broke and has a black switch back there i cant tell. you need to take better photos |

you need to take a close up photo of it because it looks like there is a hole from your angle, lighting, long distance photo.
are you trying to sell the leather couch or the guitar?
if you want to get max money for something like this you need to take quality photos of the subject. you need to take close up photos of what mods you have done to it, and you need to speak about them.
with your description and photos like that i wouldn't give you any more than 300 dollars for a 2003/4 69RI with holes in it |

i know im sounding harsh here, but im trying to help you.
I have owned 6 guitars with this switching combination in my life. if it looks like there is a hole there to me, and im someone that knows the piece inside and out, think of what it looks like to some random wank on craigslist. |

Here are some CL prices in Dallas
65 RI Mustang - $530
Comp. Blue RI - $450
65 Red Mustang RI - $475
Fender Jag-stang $425
If 65 RIs aren't selling at these prices, you will have a tough time selling yours at $650. The 65RI is more desirable usually than the 69 RI, even with the Competition stripes, and retail for about $200 more than your guitar did new.
Hopefully this helps. You could try to sell/trade it here once you have access to the Classifieds as well. You might do better. That's how I picked up my 69' Comp-stang. _________________ 1967 Fender Coronado II

I like the 69 reissues more. Why do those tend to sell for less? It is one of the guitars I would trade my Cobain Jazzy for. _________________ -[Christopher]-

1965 RI is the most expensive and the most vintage correct. It's a slab body (which lots of people prefer) and the early year models (1965-1968ish) are usually the most desirable Mustangs in the vintage market. Bodies made from poplar.
The 1969 RI have contours and are usually made of basswood. Some people think the contours make the Mustang look and feel smaller. They also retail for less so the resale is usually less than the 65 RI and are a remake of a less desirable year model.
I actually like the necks better on the 65RI compared to my 69 Comp-stang RI. _________________ 1967 Fender Coronado II

Hmm the contours make it more comfortable for me and I prefer the metal tuners so I guess I am the odd one. LOL I LOVE my CAR comp 69 ri. _________________ -[Christopher]-

I prefer the necks on the 69RIs usually, but I prefer the slab body and the pickups of the 65RI.
The pickguards on all reissue Mustangs except the compstangs have some annoying catch. They put the vintage white's tort one on the sonic blue 69s to save money (not just for a white guard but for the black switches/covers it would require), and 65RIs spawned GAPGUARD. That's borderline relic territory. _________________

I bought mine for $400 and it's in better shape than yours . Sorry . However I'm thinking $400-$450 for that . Just cuz it's blue and some little turd out there is willing to pay it so he can dance around his bedroom thinking he is Kurt Cobain . _________________ http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j225/SCSnare/gifs/sharktopus03.gif |

| I'd say $400 to $450 is about the max selling point for these guitars. It's weird that it's been around that for a few years now, despite the prices for new fenders getting hiked up so much. |

Also remember the new Squier Mustangs are $300, so that will make it more difficult to get higher prices as well. _________________ 1967 Fender Coronado II
