I'm thinking about just completely taking out the pots. I always have them on ten anyway and i know they still suck the sound at ten. Someone give me a reason not to.

Well, it couldn't hurt to try it, I mean all you have to do is wire the output from the switch (assuming you have one) directly to the jack IIRC. Theoretically it makes sense that adding something to the electrical pipeline would change the sound, but practically speaking, the few times I've done it to test pickups, they didn't end up sounding noticeably different as long as the pots were wide open.

it would at the least heighten the output. I may try it over the weekend if i get bored.
