I've been a bit uninspired recently, so I tuned my Jag to GGDFA (low E down 9 semitones; A, G, and B tuned down 2 semitones, no first string) and decided to experiment a bit and found my sister's old violin and bow, so I decided to have a go at some bowing a la Sigur Ros. I got some pretty rad sounds, a bit screechy, but I'm still trying to get the hang of it.

I enjoy bowing very much!
I've had much better luck with a bass bow, though. I want to customize a guitar some day so I can still fret nicely while I bow. _________________ High quality, low popularity Ecstatic Fury

i've tried it a couple of times. using the rosin on the bow helps it work better, tends to be less screechy. sounds good. _________________ Fingers or Pick?
