|
|
Hi all, pretty new here. Have been thinking about a SS bass build for a while. Decided on a crazy plan. Mustang Bass body with a Gretsch SS neck off an Electromatic G2220.
Have so far only made the neck fit the body (required about .5mm widening of the neck pocket on each side.
Have decided to respray the body cream and have black scratchplate to match the black neck.
Sourced a Mustang bass bridge plate but so far only have Jazz Bass bridge saddles.
Not sure what to do about Pickups, but thought I might go for a single humbucker (Obviously requires routing out a larger hole in the body).
Was wondering if anyone had any thoughts or suggestions, and if anyone knows anyone who does good quality custom scratchplates on here.

Cool suggestion, also never seen the Broadkaster before, uncanny resemblance. _________________ It's like, how much more black could this be? The answer is none, none more black... |
