I am a champion of procrastination, I have recently dragged one out of it's grave.
It's a Swinger, I got the plans from Cooterfinger (thank you!)
The original concept started with the humbucker I took out of my red Bronco.
I read that Jimmy Page had a Swinger with a humbucker fitted in the middle position.
The neck is from a Squier Jagmaster with a hacked down headstock (it has the right number of frets for a Swinger).
I will admit the headstock isn't perfect.
I cut up a pickguard from a previous project to patch the hole from the humbucker.
It still needs a tweak om the truss rod and some screws and it wil be a guitar.
I might be digging some more projects out of their graves soon(ish)...

With the ring around the humbucker it was too close to the strings.
I did think of making a new 'guard with just one pickup but I thought I'd go with a vintage modified vibe and make it look like it had been modded a few times,
Yeah sure I love the vintage modified vibe too, its enough to look at my guitars I am just more a mellow sound kinda guy(unless its tele) so i seem to like humbuckers, but the guitar looks absolutely rad!

It's 24" Chinese Jagmaster 'conversion' neck.
I did try to find info on the seemingly mythical Jimmy Page Swinger.
I spent hours trying to find a pic or even what colour it may have been, but got nothing.
Maybe it's just Wikipedia bullshit?

Another warmed over corpse for you.
It still needs some holes drilling and screws putting in.
This is the 3rd body and second neck this guitar has had.
The previous body was one that I made, but was just too heavy and I wanted to change the aesthestics to embrace my love for red/white.
Switching is 4 way (vol-vol/tone-eldred-esquire)

How do you like the pickup in the middle position? I have a Wayne Kramer Strat with a humbucker in the middle position, but the sound has never favored my playing.
Love the white on read. Which flavor of red is that? _________________ Disciple of Pain

Actually, it has 500k pots so it's brighter than typical middle or neck single coils.
A previous project I had 500k pots with just a neck pickup and it was suprisingly versatile, I just used the tone control to tame it.
The red is Ford Radiant red from '80s European cars, I think it's pretty close to Fiesta red
