Not so keen on that jack socket/control knob arrangement; I don't know why they've done that, aesthetically. £169 at Gear4Music, i.e about £10 cheaper than an Epiphone EB0, with the PJ pickup arrangement.

That's a Talman body shape and therefore their strat-jack control plate to go with it. I don't like it either but I can see why they went that why, it's also easier than doing a sidejack.
That would indeed be a better value than an EB-0 sound-wise, and from experiences with low-end Ibanez basses I bet it'd probably be a slightly nicer player on top of the extra sounds. _________________

I've handled a couple of those new ibanez talman style basses. They look great but wow, they felt horrible, and weighed like 500 pounds. A real letdown, especially considering the features on board. _________________ High quality, low popularity Ecstatic Fury

I hate the jack but really like everything else. I wonder if it would be possible to swap out the jack plate and replace it with something that doesn't look terribad?
It really is a shame, because that's a sexy beast of a bass. I'm not too fussed about the weight though, since I only play bass when I'm playing around with home studio stuffs so I won't be playing it while standing up. |

They seem to be all over the place in weight. I looked on Sweetwater and they can go from anywhere to 7 pounds to 9.5 pounds. _________________ Kicking and squealing Gucci little piggy. |
