Can't believe this thing has cost almost as much as my JS did back in the day. The price difference between now and ten years ago is insane. I nearly fell over when I saw the price of an MIM standard Strat. They used to be just a tad over £300 when I was a kid. |

This has now arrived and is waiting for me at my folks house. Gonna make the drive after I've been out to eat, but as of yet, I'm still in work. |

Echo this, it's really nicely built. A lot like the Mascos JM in terms of quality. Not actually had it plugged in yet as there is no amp at my folks or my girlfriends. It came with 9's though. Fuck that noise on a 24" scale.
One thing : Something is rattling on mine, which I suspect to be the saddle screws. Will take some pics and post 'em tomorrow! |

I received my one today.
£310.50 delivered.
Mine has two string trees. (I know that some have come with one or no string trees.)
The factory setup/inspection tag is signed July or August (I forget which). It might well be the same date as Pacafeliz's one.
I have a few offset guitars, but this is my first shortscale. I think I'm gonna find it very comfy to play, but now I'm worried that it'll make me lazy and not want to play my 25.5" guitars?!
I've taken resistance readings of the pickups - although only rough readings via the output jack.
The neck pickup read approx 5.6k. That's consistent with the same pickup model used on the VM Jaguar model.
The bridge humbucker pickup read approx 8.5k, but that can't be correct? It's supposed to be "high" output and based on the S/Duncan JB model. I presume that the wiring must be throwing the reading out, and that 8.5k is just one coil?
I'm planning on: replacing the bridge pickup; removing the kill switch, and putting a 3-way pickup selector switch in its place; and changing the wiring of the two slider switches for different pickup switching/wiring options. _________________ 21st-century schizoid man with too many pedals

i find it's only a brief period of adjustment before i'm comfortable playing the fender and gibson scale guitars after having been on a shortscale for a while. it's defs noticeable, tho. _________________ Check out Runway Runaway by Saturday's Child

It tickles me a bit, the thought of Denmark Street being refin'd. I'm sure someone would strip it back to it's original condition again in a few years. _________________
