This is really interesting...from OSG
“I'll be posting this video tomorrow (hopefully) I measured a few offset vibratos against the Panorama to show how the panorama is different but still feels similar with normal use. Puisheen provided measurements from some of his guitars for this graph.”

Is this to measure how far the reverb handle bends before you snap it off? |

I love that dark night finish, and I kind of want it.
What's with the JGS-86 hate? It's an awesome guitar: a short scale offset, with a matching headstock, MIJ quality, an amazing neck, and no stupid vintage bridge. Mine was an early model, when they still came with black hardware. Much of it has worn down to chrome over time, so now it's got kind of a reverse patina. |
Oh man, I love that! _________________

Just going to leave this here :
Basically finding reasons to not want a €2000 LEFTHANDED US (finally finally...) jazzmaster.
It's $1600, different story then.
The tuners you can change, the pickups you can change, the bridge you can change...all those things but
1.Not on a damn €2000 guitar, it better be what you want from the start
2.Changing the decal and neckpocket/neck heel...? Nope.
What really stings about this is not that it's €1900 over here but that there was never an AVRI/American classic offered as lefty, it's about the same price ffs !
It's like you want the classic pair of shoes but they only sell hyper modern ugly sneakers in your size but still better than nothing....right ? ... |

You can never really change the tuners either, you’ll always have telltale jumbo conversion bushings. |

The swirls just look like they're fighting with the headstock and the off center logo looks crap, i think anyways.
Can't understand why they can't be bothered for a €1900 guitar.

Are jazzmaster pickups generally as noisy as p90s could be? _________________

(they're not P90s, and they're generally not as high gain as P90s. But they're not noiseless). |

Yeah, I know they aren't. It's just wide bobbins must be catching all kinds of frequences, but yeah P90 are wound hotter afaik and have two magnets to create a much stronger magnetic field _________________

My new partscaster Jazzy is one of the quietest guitars I own. Amazing what proper shielding rather than a cursory slap of paint does. |
