Black looks better on pretty much any sunburst Fender: strats, 'stangs, Jazz Basses, etc. |

Swapped the guard for a black one, switched the pots to 500k and bought a set of the CUNIFE reissue pickups (got an alright deal - made an offer to a shop in Germany on eBay which was very cheeky, but pointed out I'd buy a pair, and they went for it) - they're so ridiculously good. Not usually the hugest fan of humbuckers, but they're so clear and strident sounding, really hi-fi. Bridge is my favourite (this never happens); it's also capable of sounding loads like a tele, which was a nice surprise. I really, really like this guitar. |

fucking lush.
Glad to hear it lives up to the hype, now that I've survived the dreaded restructure at work, I might get cracking on my own project of sticking just a bridge model in a guitar that will probably cost less than the pickup. |

I’d love a set of those for my Tele Custom. What was the damage? (if you don’t mind saying) |

They're listed everywhere for £180ish. Backordered in US and UK, but stock in Europe (Thomann have them for the best price, FWIW). There was a shop in Germany on eBay doing "Best Offer" or £176 - I offered £150 each on the pair, and they took it (will DM you a link if you want).
DON'T REGRET IT FOR AN INSTANT SHORTSCALE. |
