I imagine that drawing is like riding a bike, you never really forget how to do it. |
But just like guitar, you need to practise to keep your chops up or you'll get sloppy. |

I just drew this, after doing some midi sequencing for a while. I was doodling and it sort of appeared.
I suck at drawing. I was also drawing on a6 paper using some sort of arsey gel pen.
If you can't guess, the black bars represent MIDI velocity values and what's holding them up.
2 is supposed to be some sort of rocket, it didn't turn out well.
7 is darth vader.
9 I fucked up so I just wrote fan.
10 is ALTERNATE REALITIES
11 is a diving board.
13 is up there because it's scared of black aug. _________________ http://alligatr.co.uk/ |

I like the heart one.
I've been wanting to get an old school anatomy drawing of a heart tattooed on my chest.
Something like the design on this pendant:

When I was a kid the first images I drew were out of Grays Anatomy. I'm pretty sure I didn't really know what the subject matter was, but to this day I still enjoy using that sort of imagery. My second year exhibition was a series of anatomy based paintings. |

Digital Painting I'm working on:
This is the first real go I've had at a digital painting with my tablet and I think it's alright at the moment.
I should have started with a better idea but I'm just using it for learning. I also shoud have make it larger than 640 x 480 but oh well.
I used a good technique called thumbnailing, where you zoom out and just paint using a large brush to get an idea of the layout and general tone of the picture. It also adds lots of brush strokes which makes a nice texture when you go in and add more detail.. _________________ http://alligatr.co.uk/ |
