I just looked it up and apparently TOMs are generally 12" radius.

of course they are. those are the gibson ones. the Fender ones are not tune-o-matics, they're adjust-a-matics like paul said and they have a radius complimentary to the fender necks.

I know. I refer to it as a TOM because that's what it is except it's been made by Fender to fit their guitars. I don't really know all that much about Gibsons but I figured that not all of their guitars will have 12" radii.

also, Sub is no dummy, I'm sure he'd be aware if his guitar was modded or not.

I'm not saying he's a dummy. I'm saying that there is no evidence that a guitar like his was ever made and so I'm wondering how it came to be.

got a reply from soundslive about that guitar-

Quote:
Hi Stewart,

Yes this is a special edition model guitar, more of a vintage reissue compared to the classic player one. For more info follow the link to the Fender website

Regards

Martin

which explains nothing. must just be a dodgy photaeshop.

I just looked through the window of a guitar shop at one about an hour ago. It looks exactly like mine bar the matching headstock and F-Tuners. It doesn't have a TOM. I have no idea why soundslive would have shooped a TOM onto that picture.

i think they've just shopped a B&B neck onto a CP body. you can see the join at the headstock. doesn't explain the dodgy trem arm though, but that could be general 'shop incompetence.
