Here I am with my neck to body question again. Is it possible to put a CIJ or an Allparts Jaguar neck to an MIM Classic Player Jaguar and have a good fit without making any modification? Thanks in advance.

it will fit.

you might have some issues with a japan neck radius being 7.25 and the mexican one being 9.5

i don't think the tuneomatic on the mexican jag has individual string height adjustment like a stock japan bridge does

It'll fit but like rob said, if you're using a tune-o-matic stylee bridge it might not adjust well to the new radius. I have one of those cij hh jags that comes standard with a tune-o-matic bt has a 7.5" radius and I have no idea if that particular TOM is set to be 7.5" or what. I'd love to put a mustang or jag bridge on it but it requires some modifications to the new bridge becausethe body is drilled for a TOM.

Thanks.
Oh, yeah, it just occur to me that it has a TOM bridge. Just like the J Mascis Jazzmaster, which I ended up selling because find the neck awkward.

It might be possible to drop a mustang or jay bridge in where the TOM is, I know some TOMs drop into standard jag/jm bridge cups.

just tried to do this today, you are right that the classic player TOM bridge fits into a jaguar/jazzmaster/bridge bridge cup fine, but the other way around does not work, as in the jaguar/jazzmaster or mustang bridge does not fit into the MIM Classic players because the bridge cups are too deep for any height adjustments to be made

Cool info. Thanks. But what if you drill the hole bigger to accommodate the Jaguar's thimbles? Would that work?

actually i don't know how deep the TOM cups are, i was changing strings on my classic player and swapped bridges with my warmoth project (which i have a mustang bridge on)

i tried pulling out the classic player cups with some tools and i can say it is lodged in there for sure. i wasn't really trying but i can say you would have a hard time getting them out before you can even think of replacing them, drilling them should work because they appear to be the same size as the jaguar thimbles/cups

but anyways, what were you trying to do again? put a allparts 24 neck on a classic player? and then you want to replace the classic player TOM bridge with a mustang one?
