Hey bros and broettes, here's some Laney GH100TI and Ampeg VL-1002 impulses I made today.
Mics: Audix i5, Sennheiser e609, Shure SM57, Audix D6, Sure Unidyne, EV N/D 457A
Each amp has 36 different impulses for her tonal pleasure.

How do you like that i5? Have you tried it on acoustic? _________________ http://alligatr.co.uk/ |

I've had it for a while, I haet sm57s, so anywhere you would use an sm57, i put an i5. I used it snare a lot and really like it.
it's slightly different, sm57's can sound kinda harsh since they've got some scratchy high mids or something, and i think the i5 is a little smoother. |

How do you like the e609? I just picked one up recently and do like it quite abit. The guy at Guitar Center tried to get me buy Audix...but I didn't know much about it so I went with the Senheiser. |

I quite like my e609. If I had my recording stuff worked out, I'd actually post a sample. |

Yah, I can post something up in a few days. I've been putting fuzzed out rythm tracks (with the Fuzz Mike built). Sounds pretty good.
Think the sweet spot is a few inches away from the grille. I was doing the whole drap over the combo method and I wasn't getting stelar results. |
