That tarnished hardware looks so good against that tint of brown.

What's the year and country of origin?

There's enough variance from piece to piece to make it hard to tell just by looking.

This is an old Gibson from about 71-73, serial number dating is fucked for this time period, I read that these could have indian or brazilian, and it makes a $1000K difference in value. This guitar is worth buying if its brazilian, I needs to know.

thats pretty hard telling by just that photo.
i don't think it is tho.
all the reall brazillian peices that i have seen that large have more color change and the grain is usually not that straight even when its a perfect qtr sawn cut.

Kool. I didn't think it was either, as pics of older models that do have brazilian rosewood have a solid back...but I don't care anymore as I've obtained a 1968 Country Western acoustic!

Smell it. If it smells like curry, it's Indian. If it smells like a bikini wax, its...

a thing of beauty forever. Congratulations. Sell whatever you need to. My 71 Epi acoustic smells like the Marlboro man's casket.
