Yes it's a tenor guitar. Most are expensive, since none of the big names make them anymore. You can find them on ebay, which is where that one came from. It's a 1941 Harmony, I refinished the back and neck. But you can get the old off brands (Harmony, Kay, Stella, etc) for an reasonable price on ebay. I built a Tenor SG since I couldn't find one at a decent price.
I used an old Kay SG bass body and rebuilt it to fit a modified tenor banjo neck, It worked out. |

They sell these guitar door hangers online at guitarhang.com, great for small spaces or apartments or just getting it off the floor without putting holes in your walls, they are made of steel and can be moved easily, unlike permanent fixtures, and there is even a stabilization piece on it that prevents the guitar from swinging when you open and close the door.

thats going to cause the guitar to swing back and forth when the door is opened at a reasonable speed, and generally will just be a fucking nightmare |

By keeping your guitar off the floor, and out of the case–on display at an ergonomically convenient height, it requires minimal effort to pick it up and play, while reducing the time it takes to eventually put it away.
In short, DoorJamz makes it easier for the musician to be a musician. |

|
|
Guess I'm not the only one who's been looking for something like this - thanks for pointing it out.
I like displaying my guitars in several ways, and I've always thought it'd be very cool to hang them on doors where they really stand out for everyone to see.
I hadn't thought about easily moving them from door-to-door like this product lets you do - I like this idea even better!
This looks like a brand new product - they have it on Amazon.com here: DoorJamz guitar hanger.
Count me in for at least several! |
