Looks like Akai is trying to get in on the success of the Microkorg.
It's a collaboration with Alesis, so it probably has things in common with the Micron and Akai style beats.

Hope you don't mind me resurrecting this thread, but a lot of retailers are heavily discounting this at the moment. £229 in the UK.
Giving serious thought to buying it. I was going to get a keyboard controller for my laptop, but the synth features are a massive plus. |
