not for the $20 price, for that you'll get a surprise painting.
if there are any still available come February 10th, they will be $55 but you'll get to see pictures of them
as i will be posting photos of all of them on the 10th.
it is kinda a leap of faith sort of thing, but also at a great discount for who ever happens to want to buy one.
also i'll be emailing whom ever is currently on the list to buy one a photo of the painting they have purchased on the 7th, with an invoice for the $20

You sold 5 paintings before even making them?! Struth. Look forward to seeing them.
Unless you're trying to spell it out in very basic terms I would reconsider using the word 'art' in the title - it's really a given that you're making art, perhaps use 'paintings' instead as this describes what they are.

lulz what
jim, don't listen to these fucking haterz. people do this shit all the time.
it's generally more established artists who people know kind of what they can expect (i know your work, others may not), but art is art whether it's painting, or a fart i capture in a jar and document the flavor everyday as i suck it out with a straw.
if i had the dough, i'd totally do it. speaking of, i need to get that other piece paid for. _________________

lolz thanks hotrod, and take your time, like i've said before that other one is yours, set aside etc. get your shit in one sock and then we can worry about it.
i'm certainly not an "internationally established artist" hell probably not even a "locally established artist"
but then again, i keep posting my paintings to places and they keep selling, so that's good right?
i even had to authenticate a sketch i gave to a friend over a decade ago recently as she had passed it on to some one else.. (and i've since changed my signature, and established a more set style...)

lolz thanks.. i always appreciate thoughts etc..
since my ego isn't based upon much of my artistic talent, or really much of anything, it can handle it.
all pieces are spoken for, so i don't mind posting them earlier then planned.
1930s Blues: (parts 1 - 5)
Hidden:
part 1: The Singer
part 2: Guitar Man
part 3: Crossroads
part 4: Mouth Organ Man
part 5: Notes
The total piece is 55" x 14" with each individual piece being 11" x 14"
Acrylic & Oil on pre-stretched canvas
each painting comes with a letter of authenticity signed by myself, and includes an authenticity code
i'm quite pleased with how this experiment panned out, and i think i will be doing more of them through out the year.
i usually work on 16 x 24 canvas or just huge sheets of unstretched canvas that i then cut and stretch, so this was fun.
thank you all for participating
one of the pieces was sold to a fellow shortscaler, so i'm pretty excited about that, the rest were spoken for by Edmonton locals who follow me on twitter (@Jim_Nowhere)
now to finish up another series that i've been working on for the past 5 months before i try something like this again.

there will always be other opportunities
plus i may be looking into the cost of getting high quality prints done of some of my paintings, if so i'll be looking at doing limited runs of those, and of series paintings like this it would be of the whole piece.
i've a few professional photographer friends whom i'll probably be trading a painting or two for some photo time in their studios so i can get really nice high quality shots of all my work..
depending on costs i might see about doing one off print reproductions as well..
as i retain all rights to print reproductions of my work.

my next limited series will probably be announced near the end of february/early march so i'll keep you guys posted on that as well..
(speaking of, we could probably merge this topic with my "serfx art fag thread".. and maybe re-title it to something less offensive... [mods?])
