One tip for a better article - don't make someone click 50 times to read your full article. _________________ Shabba. |

definitely makes a difference. whether you like them fatter or skinnier is a matter of preference but since the trend these days is definitely towards skinnier strings I would say it's generally good advice to tell someone to experiment with fatter string. definitely. _________________ cogito ergo sum...thing or other... |

Iommi & Billy Gibbons never seemed to have bad tonez and look how light they have their strings, I think billy gibbons just brought out some signature strings that are based on 7s and iommi was down tuning with 8s! _________________

yeah, there was a good video of gibbon's tech going through his tour rig and he had 7's. |

I would be interested in their tips to get a worse tone. I think the tone i chase after would be considered bad to them. I like dirty and filthy fuzzy sounds but not too muddy. I don't play clean much anyhow... _________________
