An important element of playing improvisational music is having a good ear. The more complex the chords you play over the harder it gets, so building up a strong ear is important.
I thought I'd share the website I've been using every day to practice my ear training.
http://www.iwasdoingallright.com/tools/ear_training/main/
My routine is:
- 20 Melodic Intervals
- 20 Harmonic Intervals
- 20 Chords - all types of root inversions including alterations
Hope you guys get something from this website! |
