Hi guys, I'm a new memeber.
I've always had an idea of building up a Mustangand now it became reality!
I've found materials and template for body hardware and so on but I don't want to make the neck.... it seems to hard to do it
someone of you knows where I could buy a 24'' neck whitout spending too much? maybe used? someone of you could sell me one?
thank you to anyone and.... I love this forum!!! |

Best place to ask this is the classifieds with an ad "WTB: mustang neck" once you get 50 posts. But as for cheap your best bet would be buying a squier jaguar or mustang neck off eBay. They are 24 scale and go from $80 - $120 Welcome to the forum. _________________ Congratulations! Your Punkacc9 evolved into Awstin.

keep an eye out on ebay. allparts sells jaguar necks, I think they are nice, but maybe not vintage spec. I think you can find them on ebay too for cheaper than on their website. When getting a 24" neck and building your own guitar, know there is a little bit a of ;a difference between a regular 24" scale neck and a 24" conversion neck. So be aware of that when you build. _________________

Keep an eye on ebay, you get decent necks cheap on there. You'll also find vintage bodies for super cheap. |

This is why I said a Squier Mustang or Squier jaguar neck. You can get these for $100.00 You aren't going to find anything cheaper than that. _________________ Congratulations! Your Punkacc9 evolved into Awstin. |

DGNR8 is selling a bronco for $350. I know you don't have enough posts to make the classifieds yet but I don't see there being any issue with you buying something before you get 50 posts. I guess you'd have to check by sending him a PM. It's better than it going to eBay.
It's a way better prospect than buying a modern one then worrying about whether the neck size will fit with the template you've got (which will probably be vintage spec). Plus there's loads of bits on it you can use.
If you are going to use a modern neck then just buy a Squier Mustang and save loads of time and money. You'll get the whole guitar cheaper second hand than that first neck in the link.
