SG models always reminded me of pregnant bats with elongated necks.

I think they're cool. I like playing on those really high frets during solos too which get difficult on a jag.

My '69 Mustang that lived in a prison for 40 years has "Property of US Govt" scratched into the neckplate.

I think that's a bit radder of a story.

Lame cash in.

They should donate guitars made out of this wood to schools in Afghanistan.

I quite like the look. But not a fan of rosewood anyway, let alone naughty rosewood.

If you hate the govt, just buy a secondhand guitar.

I don't know, all "alternative" colors like this SG has always reminds me about cheapest Squiers, Corts, Epiphones, that a decade ago didn't have such color options like surf green, butterscotch, natural finish or beautiful sunburst. They all was of either of dull red, mustard, purple, black, vomit color or acid green, blue, vomit color.

Turns out the govt confiscated ebony ended up on these pin-striped and diamond-studded monstrosities:

It kind of reminds me of this 24-fret SG Gibson put out in the late 1990s in army green.

I'm not really an SG fan, but I noticed they have an Explorer and Flying V in this series, and good prices. And the finishes are glossy.

wayyyyyy radder. I've got an 82 P bass from a high school that im sure would be terrified of your mustang.

Military/Government whatever aside, i do actually really like that finish.
