I just found this and thought y'all might be interested. Seems to be about the same price as an AVRI one tho.

$38 is less than i paid for an MIJ system i think (but i'm not too savvy on bargain hunting) so it could be a nice option.

The lock doesn't matter if you don't use the trem or break strings, right? _________________

I don't think it matters any way. I think I would swap guitars to a backup before I would play a guitar with missing strings personally. I don't mind the lock and I get how it works, but I can't see myself ever using it. |

in my experience a trem lock is useful to test if a trem is set up to be optimum, but not really required as an actual lock. when set up properly, a jag trem is 100% solid |

unless you break a string mid-song, and your tuning goes all to fuck. _________________

I guess I am not breaking my strings enough to need a lock on the tremolo? I would rather take a couple seconds to swap to a different guitar on stage then keep going with a guitar missing a string I guess. |

Are they not handy if you want to bend strings without it all going out of tune? _________________

this is true.
the only times i use the lock is if I break a string on stage, set the lock till the song is over, then re-string.
and when storing the guitar for an extended period of time |

Also enables a quick bit of drop D riffage without sending the other strings out of choon innit. _________________
