That's pretty cool actually. I even like the colour. Definitely unusual, but I dig it.

My reservations would be: does the unusual body/neck combo cause intonation issues, and what are the pickups? They remind me a bit of the Brian May Red Special's.

Well, if this thing can get me even a fraction of an inch closer to the awesomeness that's John Squire it's worth a look.

his friend made the body to be used with a guitar neck, but idk about the pups.
I'd go for it if i wasn't looking for something with a rhythm circuit and don't really want to put one in myself. and yes, i actually use the rhythm circuit.

The pickups look like Burns Tri-Sonics (as fitted to Red Special)

Pickguard shape doesn't fit the body, awful edge contours the whole way 'round, amateur paint job (lol at seeing the grain through the paint), and holes visible behind the pickguard for converting to 25.5" scale. Which, by the looks of it, that's not a 1.5" difference, meaning one or both bridge locations probably don't intonate correctly. It's an interesting idea, but you'd be better off modifying a regular ol' Jazz Bass body. At least the seller is right about the neck being valuable.

Edit: nvm about modifying a j bass body, with filling the bridge pickup hole I suppose that would mean a refin anyway. But even that would be better than seeing grain through paint.

The body shape needs some of the fat trimmed but I dig the concept

Judging by the components and design, it must indeed have been built for Brian Squier and the Maystones, um...who I saw play the Troubadour a few months back.

I'd hate to see you browsing in guitar shops.
