Well, if you put a wire from the 4 to the volume input you will get volume that overrides the tone- even though the c is going to the tone pot. Then the other positions, both or neck will have tone pot control. _________________

I measured a 3 way tele switch that I had laying around and it is 1.25" deep. So you could route your hole deeper and a traditional one would work. Also they make PCB 3 way switches that are not so deep.

The body is too thin to make the depth bigger. I think the idea of having tone bypass and maybe volume and tone bypass might be doable.  |
