|
|
I had mentioned to the bassist in my covers band that I was looking to get another strat as backup for gigs and he said that a few years ago he bought an Affinity Strat from ebay and that I could have it. I insisted that he had to take something for it so he said "buy me a pint".
Shitty photos galore like.

As you can see, there are no screws in the scratchplate except 2, seems that someone at some point has bought the pearl plate with different screw alignment to the original (metric vs imperial??). The neck does feel really nice and I like the colour so for £2.90 (Horrible pint of Carling or some shite) I cant grumble.
Also!
I bought my bass back. A Tokai Hard Puncher which I think is froms the 80s. I got it when I was 15 and sold it a few years ago but always regretted it. I had put some money aside for no particular reason and when I heard the guy was selling it, I jumped at the chance. Probably more sentimental than anything but I think it plays nice.

Sorry about the garbage photos but I cant be arsed doing anything properly. |

I like Affinities because they are lightweight as a feather. Also I like thin bodied guitars with a full rounded neck _________________

Do Bare Knuckles produce pickups for basses? They would fit that Tokai perfectly _________________

Reminds me of when I went to a Quick Burger in France and they had something called "Long Pepper". |

Those Hard Punchers - aside from having the most awesome name ever for a bass - are fantastic, well made basses. |

I'm just going to smash it in with a hammer and hope it works. Tone is all in the fingers anyway. |
