I was considering the BEQ700 bass EQ pedal and noticed an interesting spread of frequencies; not your normal progression. 50 Hz, 120, 400, 500, 800, 4.5k and 10k. I took a look at component values. Using a simple (non-Spice) calculation:
Code:
Nominal   Calculated
freq      freq
50        49
120       153
400       394
500       533
800       746
4.5k      4823
10k       10526
Of course, component tolerances will affect this but it's curious that the "120Hz" filter should be that far out and that they have both 400 Hz and 500Hz sentre frequencies. It would be interesting to see the curves.
