i've heard from multiple people this was a really fun guitar to play because you just played it. one hot pickup, one volume, no tone. _________________ Check out Runway Runaway by Saturday's Child

Nice find. But yeah that should take any 3-bolt Strat neck.
That being a "pawn shop" guitar is kinda bizarre to me because the odds of finding a 70s Strat modded like that in a pawn shop are incredibly low. Pickguard doesn't look to cover where the middle pickup would be.
Mine is a two tone burst like the one on the right. Got it used, three or four years ago, from GC sight unseen. Paid around $100 for one in minty condition. Simple, but effective. _________________ Disciple of Pain

I would guess the latter. Either a special run or a refin. Because who would go to the trouble of taking a '51, routing the neck pickup cavity for a straight single coil, having a custom pickguard made, getting a 70s Tele neck and rebranding it as a Strat neck (that pawn shop model has the rounded butt)? Right down to the standard humbucker spaced wide range? It's cool either way though.
