this thing looks FUCKIN RAD in graffitti yellow with big tele deluxe head stock.

its the complete opposite side of the spectrum form my daphne blue one with tele headstock

these guitars have square butt neck pockets so you are kind of limited in what necks you can use with the Telecaster line

I like it. Reminds me of the GY Cyclone that I lusted over.

Cool song. First time listening to them.

Thanks,

Graffiti yellow always makes me think of the Tom Delonge strat.

That is one of those pawnshop 70s models though -

Watching that video I thought I recognised the drummer. Turns out he's in my class at Uni. Small world.

i've heard from multiple people this was a really fun guitar to play because you just played it. one hot pickup, one volume, no tone.

Nice find. But yeah that should take any 3-bolt Strat neck.

That being a "pawn shop" guitar is kinda bizarre to me because the odds of finding a 70s Strat modded like that in a pawn shop are incredibly low. Pickguard doesn't look to cover where the middle pickup would be.

Mine is a two tone burst like the one on the right. Got it used, three or four years ago, from GC sight unseen. Paid around $100 for one in minty condition. Simple, but effective.

So...is this Graffiti Yellow guitar a Squier 51 or a Fender Pawn Shop 70s Stratocaster?

I would guess the latter. Either a special run or a refin. Because who would go to the trouble of taking a '51, routing the neck pickup cavity for a straight single coil, having a custom pickguard made, getting a 70s Tele neck and rebranding it as a Strat neck (that pawn shop model has the rounded butt)? Right down to the standard humbucker spaced wide range? It's cool either way though.
