Some say that the TC Electronic Dark Matter and the Electro Harmonix OD Glove are some sort of Marshall-esque Plexi distortion; I don't know if it's true or not but they sound well, at least from the demo on the Tube. The point is that I can't make up my mind on which I should pick up. Has anyone tried one of them and want to talk about it/them? _________________ -Guitar: Squier VM Mustang, Squier CV '50 Duo Sonic;

Just listened to the Dark Matter, not a million miles away, especially when as it's billed a 'Distortion' but sounds way more like a heavy OD... does low gain stuff well. They've both got a 'voice' switch that seems to work in the same was as the OCD, but that 2-band EQ is definitely gonna make the TC more flexible and probably easier to match your preferences and/or setup?
The Glove has an internal switch for 9v/18v which changes the response (squish compression vs more open sounding), which could be nice for variety.

would recommend an Xotic Effects SL drive if you want a flexible marshall in a box style pedal, tiny little thing too. can usually get them on eBay for £60-70 used. _________________ Fingers or Pick?
