What are the differences between a Jagmaster and one of the newer Squier Affinity Jazzmasters? I’m assuming the scale lengths are different, because the bodies look like they’re the same size. Are the electronics different? The switching looks the same on both models. _________________

Which model Jagmaster? They changed over the years. The Vista Jagmaster was MIJ and 24" scale. The second Jagmasters were produced elsewhere because the Japanese factories closed - they were 25.5" around 2000 and then later 25.5-to-24" conversion necks on the same 25.5" scaled bodies.
P much every Jazzmaster ever has been 25.5" scale. The affinity Jazzies are also hardtail, whereas Jagmasters all had a strat trem (some were 2-point around 2000) _________________

And every Jagmaster ever had better pickups than the Affinity Jazzmasters. Esp. the Vista series ones and the ones with Duncan Designed buckers. _________________
