Plops brought a lovely partscaster duosonic to flbq that I think we all decided was an A width neck, it played like candy and I want one now if I ever get another mustang shape guitar. |

i have two (64 duo-sonic II and a 65 mustang). given a choice i'd opt for a B width these days but i still enjoy the A every now and then. _________________

I think the only reissue A-widths have been the Jag-Stang and some '90s 69RI Mustangs, but I do occasionally see people saying their MIJ Jag has one. Sometimes things get halfway'd by metric conversion though, like the early 00's MIJ 69 Stangs had something that is technically inbetween a vintage Fender A and B (probably aiming for a B). I have no idea what the true skinny on this is anymore, I should probably buy 6 or 7 more guitars and get to the bottom of it. _________________

I have a 3/4 a width neck on a duo sonic I bought off nickd which I haven’t really used and will provide flip. I bought it for the kids but they don’t care for guitars now. To small for me to be honest _________________
