Is anyone using it? How do you find it? It's pricey as fook, I have half a mind of downloading a pirate version and destroying my PC with complementing viruses _________________

One thing to bear in mind, is that it models how those amps sound recorded. So it won't sound like a JCM 800 in the room, for instance. But it will sound like one on record.
I think a lot of people get disappointed because they're expecting it to be like a amp modeller, but it's not quite that.
It's excellent at what it does though. I own the amp of my dreams, a full Matamp stack. It sounds better than any other amp on the planet. It is perfect. I don't think I would ever bother micing it for recording. _________________

I used Amplitube3 for a few years, very good indeed.
Amplitube 4 Custom Shop is free (I guess just very limited gear), but you can get a feel for it? _________________ andrew floss musics |

Thanks, man. The sound thing makes sense, really gives me the understanding of what to expect and helps a lot. Cheers! _________________

Amplitube is great. I've also had a lot of joy using the Positive Grid Bias Amp 2, they put it on sale every so often and you can pick it up for around $50.
I really like the Neural DSP plugins too, but they're a little expensive and I've never gone past a free trial just yet. _________________ www.gabrielwareing.com |
