Yes, well into this.
Who did the refinish for you? |
Andy at http://www.ozzyowl.co.uk has done the routing, pickguard, wiring etc etc and I believe he outsourced the refinish to https://shukerguitars.co.uk/

I'm really excited to have it finished and try it out!

For myyyyyy money, the mute is a step too far and I woulda gone with the 2nd simpler-looking pickup option, but that's just me.
Love it otherwise! |
The mute hasn't actually ever been functional since I fitted the Mastery, but I'm into the aesthetic of them, bit of a personal amber Switchtip thing I think. Looking now I'm maybe thinking the less busy pickup covers could have worked, but I'm into these still, the more bling the better

Looks fantastic. I really like that you've got a flat colour pickguard and not pearl or tort. |

I've never been a fan of pearl pickguards at all, on anything, it's just not my thing at all.
I think mint green can look really nice on shell pink, but it's a fine balance between tasteful and tacky/ott/cheap green so I went with parchment, just slightly off white.
Hopefully be picking this up tomorrow so I'll get lots of pics and hopefully a decent demo of the goldfoils |

Recorded a quick little demo of the pickups.
First melody is neck, 2nd both pickups, 3rd is bridge pickup and a little dirt from an Earthquaker Devices Plumes. Reverb comes from an Earthquaker Devices Afterneath V3, and I'm using a Strymon Iridium as an "amp and cab"

Even though I'm using flatwound strings, they still sound and feel a little new and bright to me. |
