The Teisco Spectrum represented their top of the line. This was not a cheap guitar. Teisco is a Japanese guitar brand that was active from the '50s through the '70s. They made a wide range of products and although most were very cheap models they also manufactured some deluxe models to exacting standards. In the '70s it acquired another Japanese brand, Kawai, who made high quality guitars and pianos. This brand survives as a piano manufacturer to this day.
