A couple of weeks ago I ordered a Klon clone from eBay on a whim (one of those £35 Hong Kong jobs - I'm still waiting for it), and whilst doing so I figured I'd just do a search. Unexpectedly I found an original Klon up for sale so I watched it, curious to see how much it would fetch. The auction finished this evening and it went for £1808... One thousand eight hundred and eight British Pounds... FUCK THAT SHIT! I get all the hype and the backstory and everything, but having watched plenty of Klon comparison videos, I stick by my "fuck that" assessment! LANK

Pertinent, and I know how much everyone loves FWW:

And yeah, pure fuck that price. I hate guitarists.

It's definitely a great design and I enjoy building them for people as they can be used in very different ways.

It was a bit silly when the designer claimed the diodes were unobtanium magic ones rather than the 1n34As we've all been able to get hold of for years but whatever.

Obviously anyone paying for an original needs their head checked when there are myriad options for that sound easily available these days from many places.

I've had a couple of Timhulio Klones are they are ace. Not so much into Klons these days, but they do have their uses.

Thanks! Klones are still a good seller for me, although not as popular as they once were. Had loads of requests for Klone buffers recently though, so they're coming back.

That's the buffer I use in the Fuzzy Beetle, and whenever I have a Buffer/Split in a custom build or whatever. It's small and sounds great.

Yes, I would often keep a Fredric Klone first in chain but never use it. Just liked having that buffer there.

Currently using the TU-3w as my buffer. It's really good too, but a different flavor.

My Klone arrived today. Looks cool, very well packaged, very neat inside (forgot to take a photo). Sounds like a Klon. Happy days.

One of these was just recommended to me and I was going to post it as a joke because it was a Wish ad on Facebook but I realize Thom actually bought one almost identical to the one being advertised. Laughing

Laughing Yeah it looks identical! I think the picture has changed on the eBay add now, but I'm sure it was the same as on Wish before! LANK. I offered £35 which was accepted.

Someone should make a pedal with him on it.

This is the color scheme for Nick’s next build.
