I don't particularly rate Coldplay but I do use a C-Rex speaker in a fender amp and it's a great choice.

I don't like compression either but....it's a good speaker

This is my opinion so you are welcome to ignore but I would say this, listen to a fuck load of pedals. play a fuck load and buy the ones you like best, whatever the price just save a bit. I say this because when I first started buying pedals I did this but rather than by the ones I liked I got cheap...

It's a nice amp but quite a cold one.

Not wanting to thread hijack but people who use daisy chains what do you do with your 'unused' sockets when your playing, should they be covered in electrical tape or covered? sometimes mind hit against the metal casing of a pedal and cause a loud cracking sound that I'm sure can't be good

I use a C-Rex in a deluxe reverb.

Got almost too much bass for me, but it is voiced nice.... I always feel like I'm doing something wrong rolling the bass back a fair way
