It's a millimetric guitar. Their Instagram page is awesome and full of great pictures, the attention to detail is fab. The offset design is nicer than the symmetrical one. I bought myself a slightly battered Rickenbacker 330 and it's killed any other guitar wants. Such a funny feeling guitar and de...

Nail polish remover usually does the trick- Anything non-polar (not water basically) should get rid of it.

The whiteboard marker trick works because of the solvent in the markers dissolves the ink so you can wipe it up.

The OR-15 is still a classic rock type amp. If you want gain maybe have a look at the Dark Terror or the Jim Root Terror thing. I have a TH30 and really like it, clean channel is really nice (and loud) and the gain goes from crunchy to very very fuzzy. Maybe bigger than you want but it does scale do...

Sick, I didn't even know MJF could actually play There was a video of him recently playing Johnny B Goode, sorry about the Coldplay (bonus fact- MJF is my staff code at work (my initials too!) and I was mega confused for a second to see ...

Nice. Having read about various boutique clones they don't seem worth it. Seems I've got two options then: 1. Buy a used rat2 and drill the enclosure for a for a ruetz switch, maybe even pot to make the mod effect variable. 2. Get a used mooer or eno clone and be happy with the original sound. I ha...

Re: favourite strat pickup sets for a classic stratty sound?

would like to get a new set for my bratomaster. ideally a vintage or slightly hot vintage set with a nice bit of bass would be great. alnico 5s too i guess. i'm leaning toward the fender cs 69s at the moment. any recommendations from your travels? I have a set of pickups from Mojo, they're really g...

I was in the same position a few years ago. I played loads of strats in Denmark street and I personally didn't find any major improvements after the 1k mark. Best I played was an av hot rod thing, it was lovely. In the end I went for an American special strat and its perfect, I can take it to any gi...

And I say get the AC15, because it's the best one and still sounds great quiet. BUY CHEAP BUY TWICE LAD. This. Without a second thought. Buy the best, buy it once. My DRRI does bedroom levels and gig levels just fine, and it's pure quality. AC15 is the Vox equivalent. Yep I agree, the AC15 is bette...

The Adkins basically is a LP- same bridge, set neck?, scale length, controls, P90s etc. I've seen loads of them for sale second hand, either there are loads of them or the owners don't fancy keeping them. All valued around £350.

I don't do Brian May twiddles and the first twat that tells you to use a treble booster is a twat. Well colour me twat then Markleton poster, because a treble booster (cleu: they don't actually boost your treble, n00b) into an AC15 is a thing of beauty only matched by a Rat. Well maybe you're not a...

What's more awesome is that it's not just a neck bolted onto a body- she's actually done some cool electronic shizzle to make it into a synth. Freaking cool.

I have the AC10 and AC15. I could type loads about each one but I like them both. Ask anything specifically but bullet points: Ac10 is loud as balls. Seriously goes from nothing to ouch quite quickly. I'm a considerate neighbour but fook it's loud. Ac15c1 is big and heavy but hilariously better as a...

Could the neck just be out of alignment? Stick a capo on a fret, slacken the strings right down and unscrew the neck and have a look in the the pocket. Get it back together and see how it is. Doubt the truss rod would have shifted- it wouldn't have changed the action much anyway if it had. Have a lo...

Looks like it ticks all my boxes too for a cheap rehearsal/sketchy gig situation. Body seems a bit small though- anyone got their hands on one? Wonder how it compares body size wise to a Mustang or Strat?

Markleton, I got your OLC SLO Century kit sort of working a while back by careful adjustment of the presets but the Treble control didn't seem to work. I left it in a box without going any further because I didn't have any nuts for the A...
