Fuck - they didn't even cover the fact that Mark Mothersbaugh has Raymond Scott's Electronium sitting in the basement at that studio. I think that's amazing. Literally Mark could open up his own synth museum.

I tend to think scale has minimal tonal implications compared to the myriad of other options available(string composition/guage, pickups, amps, pedals, the player).
