If you can get a Road Worn for US$599 I think that is a steal. I played one the other day and was impressed. The neck felt good, the tone was great and the guitar generally felt worn in (funnily enough!). The only two things I didn't like was that it felt a little heavy and the relic/ worn in bits w...

I quite like the Road Worn series... I've yet to hear a convincing argument about whats supposed to wrong with them (other than the fact they're well overpriced here in the UK) I've played both of the Road Worn Strats, and they play really well and sound good... The guy in the video makes good poin...

I spoke to a big UK guitar dealer earlier this week and they said the price drop was a thing Fender are doing in the US only! Which is a shame as if they dropped their prices in the UK, I might be another tele!

Sonar Home Studio 7 questions

I'm finally getting round to putting together a home studio. I don't need anything fancy...just want to do some basic recording. I've had a look around and I like the look (& price) of Cakewalk Sonar Home Studio 7. As I live in Guernsey I don't have to pay VAT so that makes it 15% cheaper still!...

For what it's worth, here's my views on the Baja. I purchased one about two months ago. I couldn't make up my mind whether or not to get a Telecaster Deluxe or Baja. Being miles from anywhere (my nearest shop is not well stocked with Fender gear)...I did a lot of research (on the net and magazines) ...

I've been very impressed with the ClearTone cables. More info here http://www.award-session.com/cleartone_cables.html Two UK guitar magazines rated them highly too.

Blasphemy!
Ha ha! I liked it but the neck was just a little too thick for me. It was always a toss up between a Baja or Deluxe...so bought a Baja and I'm now a big fan of Telecasters.

I bought a Baja at the old prices (£340 - I don't pay VAT) almost two months ago and haven't looked back...in fact it started off a GAS attack. I sold my Fender Telecaster Deluxe (neck too thick), am getting rid of my Rickenbacker 360 (can't see me playing it again) and I also purchased a Fender Cu...

I speak from experience! I have a 1995 MIJ Jazzmaster. About six months ago I wondered exactly what you were thinking. I did a load of research and came across a guy on You Tube with shed loads of Jazzmasters with different pickups. I went with Seymour Duncans (check their website out for clips)......

Re: Would a stock Mustang bridge be drop in replacement on a

I've just about had it with the stock bridge on my Jazzmaster. Fucking low "e" is worked its way so low the string is flush with the back of the bridge and slides over even when you play lightly. I've read where the radius doesn't match up and the modified one by warmouth looks like it's ...

everyone here is aware that it is not just fender that raised thier prices right? and yea, paying more sucks ass, but if that means they keep themselves fully staffed and don't have to lay off any employees then maybe its a good thing. I've bought three Fender guitars (one in Dec & two in Feb) to avoid the price rises and I'd bet there will be more. I'm done buying Fender guitars.

Cleartone guitar cables

I ordered a Cleartone guitar cable on Monday afternoon and received it on Tuesday morning...great service. A 3m cable with noise cancelling jack at one end and a normal jack at the other end. I've just tried it out for ten minutes and the difference to my Fender ToneMaster cable is very very noticea...
