I actually prefer to down-tune my strat just for the lower tension. :) my silvertone sounds amazing downtuned and then capoed up to pitch. the combination low action and low tension changes the sound immensely, and the lower i tune/farther up the capo the more severe the effect. essentially i guess...

wow, ive been overpronouncing his name forever.

i love that no matter how out of style he is, no matter how irrelevent his genre of music, no matter how ridiculous he looks with his rock and roll posturing and 80s hair, he still has his standards: no girly sparkle guitars!

I've been thinking about getting a 12 string RIC lately, I love my DC-12 but after my first gig with it wednesday I think I want something a little nicer. I played a 330/12 but couldn't stand the baseball bat neck with the skinny fretboard, felt really out of place on a 12 string. I think a black i...

those crate powerblocks were like 150 watts solid state, really small, and stereo, and cheap as hell, new. looks like they dont make em anymore, but that and a 1x15 cab would be clean and loud, for sure. the guitarist of deerhoof was playing this setup the second time i saw them, and he was peeling ...

the headrush lets you set the timing of the 'heads' to create rhythmic repeats, i dont think the line6 will let you do that. plus, akai>line6, all day, any day. it just seems more serious than the line6, not so gimmicky. and it doesnt take up all that fucking space. and, it doesnt look like alien ha...

Dont know which to get. Never played both pedals though.
do you mean, never played either pedal?

if so, then go play them, if you can, and then you'll be able to begin to know what you want.

i think itd look really nice with normal white strat knobs.

otherwise, amazing. i love that purpley color, and dots and binding is the best. and, there arent enough hardtail strats around.

Sorry, but i disagree with your post entirely. more for me! :P (as if i can afford even one. :( ) you dont even like the sound of rics? I have a Ric and i like a lot of guitarists that use Rickenbackers. The jetglo gets boring imo. its common, it suits it so well i never get tired of it. i said 'an...

i use my JC120 for clean bottom end, actually. i have the treble set to about a quarter and it sounds quite er, jazzy, which is fine for me when i'm running it with a more crunchy amp taking care of the top end. i run a big muff through it and it sounds fucking monstrous (in a good way). i think be...

i think the one on the wikipedia page looks better than the 12. they look mega either way. i dont like how the ferrules fan out and are at some crazy angle. itd look better with a musicmaster bridge or something. also, this is one of my fave headstocks evar. its alot like a coronado stock, i think.
