Keep in mind the Warmoth Jag bodies are not to spec with actual Jag bodies. They will NOT work with Jag pickups unless you want to fill in the wood they take out. Warmoth will only do a pickguard mounted rout, not a pickup to wood rout on the Jags. Another thing they do that drives me crazy is the w...

Oh and I forgot to mention, if you bought a new body from GFS take your old body, hit it a few times with random shit sand the arm area, put it on ebay as a relic, if you do a good enough job you will make enough to pay for the Ash body with a few bucks left over to pay for paint and sandpaper. Just...

I have done this a few times and honestly if I were you I would do one of two things 1. Scuff the current finish on your guitar (to give the primer something to stick to) then prime and paint your guitar. or 2. just buy a new unfinished body from GFS http://store.guitarfetish.com/unststbohshs.html $...

Yeah sorry man a strat neck will never work on a jag, I build guitars as a business and I have tried it on a jag in my early days, no luck. We gotta get you into a short scale neck, a B&B would be sweet with that white body, but they are pretty much the holy grail of short scale necks, you can g...

I have tried this with tinted clear to make a white pickguard look older, I scuffed the plastic to try and let the paint stick better but it still came off in the picking areas within a month

Yeah I was thinking of getting the SG kit as well just for fun, I was thinking of going one of two ways white with gold hardware and 3 humbuckers (like Gibson did a bit back in the day) or cherry stain with P-90's

Yup they come pre-bound. Gibson paints their guitars with the binding already installed like this kit, they have "Scrapers" that scrape the paint off the binding, one thing I learned when I took the Gibson tour in Nashville. You do have to set the pitch and thats really easy to do, just in...

GFS Les Paul build

Hello all! GFS put out a ALL MAHOGANY Les Paul kit for $180 so I figured I would pick one up and build a Goldtop for fun. I was actually blown away by how good this kit is, blows the saga stuff out of the water. This is a full Mahogany kit, no bolt on, it's actually a set neck routed the same way Gi...
