Re: Behringer Power Overdrive PO300 + some old shortscale story telling

Enjoyed that storytelling. That original video was hilarious and a terrific sales pitch; I think Behringer was right to send you all of the things back then, whether or not you reviewed anything else. I remember at the time I was one of the biggest nay-sayers of those plastic boxes, on account of me...

Re: What is your favourite SG style model?

I’d describe my Burny MG-145s (mockingbird style) as very SG derived, complete with thin/beveled body and neck dive. Just doesn’t look the part visually. I’ve had the Gretsch CVT before but that was like the opposite. Played and sounded much more like a Gretsch than a Gibson. Was a nicely balanced i...

Re: Johnny Marr yellow Jaguar - How soon is now?

Tuner bends with a capo made me cringe ngl but he’s JFM he can do what he wants.

Really like yellow guitars and that Jag is no exception. I don’t feel it really fits the mood of the song though.

Great performance. Voice is honestly close enough for me.

The Haunted Cat Halloween Special

Last year, my band Haunted Cat made a Christmas Special.... This year we upped the production by quite a bit - recruited more local artists, got a green screen and some light kits. And the band performance at the end is at an actual Halloween show we played last Monday and not just a quarantine perf...

Cool to see this revived, about a year or so ago I saw a Squier Bronco bass turned into a bass vi on the local fb marketplace (unfortunately I did not save a pic but it looked cool as hell), so there's definitely potential for a project like this!

No joke, put it on a foil covered baking pan and cook it on the middle rack at about 100c for 10 minutes or until it's flat. The pickguard that is, not the whole guitar.

I do have the original tort pickguard with it should I ever feel like changing it up. I‘m liking the cleaner mint look right now though.

NGD: Vintera Jaguar OTM

So I decided I wanted to get some better microphones and maybe do so by freeing up some funds I have in gear I'm not really using. On the chopping block were my Alternate Reality XII and Nord Electro 2 61. I got one lowball offer on the XII, followed by a trade offer for a blue vintera jaguar. Hopin...

I was thinking this is offensive. http://sc1.musik-produktiv.com/pic-010059163xl/malekko-b-assmaster.jpg Only if you turn the sensitivity knob up. The name "Assmaster" is mildly amusing. But there's a pink triangle on there. If you were gay, you might not consider it funny. Oh shit, yeah ...
