Re: 2022 gear goals

Thoughts on CV Mustang bass? I liked my Bronco for what it was but the Squier Mustang is a decent improvement.

Re: 2022 gear goals

I have a lot of synthesizers but not a lot of essentials to do fun things with them besides playing them live. So I think 2022 for me will be filling in the blanks with the boring stuff to get the most out of what I already have. That said, I just ordered an Arturia Keystep and an S Trigger cable so...

Re: Decals and making 'em look good

nice idea, and i would love to hear how it turns out. the decal on my mustang is about the only thing i'd like to revisit at this point as it is just a water slide resting on top of the glossy headstock. at a distance, it's fine, but it does lack that sense of permanence up close. Probably the wron...

2022 gear goals

Similar to the 2021 thread-I always find myself taking inventory at the start of a new year, and thinking about what might be either redundant or missing. Anyone else have any gear goals for the new year? I think Im good for guitars and basses, I have a few old project guitars that need refretting, ...

Ad one last minute Realistic Concertmate (MOOG) MG-1, facebook marketplace score last night for $200. Needs the usual stuff but it works and sounds killer, I'm in love with it!

Re: Broken-caster $549

I want to say my local shop had one in nicer shape for about the same if not less, I had forgotten all about this model so I had no idea about Values and wasn’t interested at the time- if I see another or that one pops up locally I’ll let you know.

Heh, really hard to tell where 2020 ended and 2021 began in terms of gear (and everything else) but I’ll do my best. I suppose that's always the risk you take with personal gifts like this...I'm not considering him ungrateful, probably the opposite. Can you return it or are you going to keep it for a bit?

For couch playing I usually use a Blackstar Superfly, sometimes with a Cuvave Cube Baby in front of it.

Re: Behringer Power Overdrive PO300 + some old shortscale story telling

Enjoyed that storytelling. That original video was hilarious and a terrific sales pitch; I think Behringer was right to send you all of the things back then, whether or not you reviewed anything else. I remember at the time I was one of the biggest nay-sayers of those plastic boxes, on account of me...

Re: What is your favourite SG style model?

I’d describe my Burny MG-145s (mockingbird style) as very SG derived, complete with thin/beveled body and neck dive. Just doesn’t look the part visually. I’ve had the Gretsch CVT before but that was like the opposite. Played and sounded much more like a Gretsch than a Gibson. Was a nicely balanced i...

Re: Johnny Marr yellow Jaguar - How soon is now?

Tuner bends with a capo made me cringe ngl but he’s JFM he can do what he wants.

Really like yellow guitars and that Jag is no exception. I don’t feel it really fits the mood of the song though.

Great performance. Voice is honestly close enough for me.

The Haunted Cat Halloween Special

Last year, my band Haunted Cat made a Christmas Special.... This year we upped the production by quite a bit - recruited more local artists, got a green screen and some light kits. And the band performance at the end is at an actual Halloween show we played last Monday and not just a quarantine perf...
